What’s the Difference Between Delta-8 and Delta-9?
Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC are two cannabinoids found in the hemp and marijuana plant. Delta-9 is commonly referred to as THC. But it’s important to note that Delta-8 is THC as well.
Here’s the key difference:
When a plant is harvested, it is measured for potency of Delta-9 THC. If the potency is higher than 0.3%, it is considered marijuana. If it’s less than 0.3% it is considered hemp.
Delta-8 THC, when sourced from the hemp plant, is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. However, it’s legality depends on your state so we always recommend checking with your local laws about Delta-8’s legality.

As Delta-8 becomes more and more popular among THC and CBD users alike, industry leaders continue to innovate new and exciting Delta-8 products. These products include edible gummies, vape cartridges, tinctures, and more.
Here are the Types of Delta 8 Products:
1. Delta 8 Edibles: Gummies
Delta-8 infused gummies typically contain between 20 – 25 mg of plant-based Delta-8 THC. These are the most popular way to consume Delta-8 for a variety of reasons. Delta-8 gummies are tasty, convenient, available in most states, and can in many cases be delivered right to your door.
Gummy Dosing: We highly recommend starting with a half dose (about 12.5 mg) or a quarter dose (about 6.25 mg) to evaluate the gummy’s unique effects for you. 2. Delta 8 Oil Vape Cartridges
Delta-8 Vape Carts are extremely popular way to experience Delta-8 THC. Delta-8 vapes are usually flavored, allowing you to fully enjoy the sensory experience of vaping. Most carts contain around 800 mg of Delta-8 oil and can be smoked using a compatible vape pen. Plant-derived terpenes make Delta-8 a convenient choice for new and existing fans of vaping.
Delta-8 may be available as cartridges for vape pens or as pods for some devices.
Vape Dosing: For new users, we recommend taking one puff. Experienced users of THC may be able to tolerate higher doses. Wait at least 30 minutes before increasing your dose to evaluate its unique effects on your body.

3. Delta 8 Tinctures
Delta-8 tinctures are another emerging THC product. Depending on the manufacturer, you can expect to see around 1,000 mg of Delta-8 THC in a tincture bottle. Some manufacturers include flavors or additional additives to promote focus, sleep, or other effects.
Tincture Dosing: Start with a half dropper, taken orally under the tongue, to establish a baseline for how the Delta-8 THC – and possibly the other ingredients – affect you.
Tincture Effects: Will vary by product, so it’s important to start slowly and do your research. Ensure your product has been third-party lab tested before use.
4. Delta 8 Flower
There is, technically, no such thing as Delta-8 flower. However, you may be able to find retailers who add THC oil to CBD or Hemp flowers. This enables you to experience the effects of the flower alongside the Delta-8 THC.
Delta-8 flower may be available as raw flower, or in pre-rolls for convenience.
Flower Dosing: The amount of THC varies highly depending on the manufacturer, type of flower, and combination of additives. So review your packaging carefully and follow instructions closely.

5. Delta 8 Wax
Dabbing fans rejoice, as some producers have created Delta-8 wax. Although this product is less popular among leaders in the Delta-8 industry, you may be able to find this product online or in a retail store near you.
Wax Dosing: Note that wax concentrations are typically very, very high. Always read your product label carefully. Start very small, or team up with an experienced dabber to avoid taking too large of a hit.
Wax Effects: Delta-8 Wax is a relatively new product, and so we’ll wait to see how users react more before describing any effects here.
