Stoner Friendly Fall Festivities

Stoner Friendly Fall Festivities

Oct 7, 2024 | 0 comments

Fall is arguably the BEST time of year. Go ahead, we can argue. But seriously the pros outweigh the cons, there is no snow on the ground (in most places) and there aren’t sweat beads rolling down your back from just sitting in your car. Well that’s how Fall SHOULD be but the climate is changing and for some reason it’s still 80 degrees and higher the second week of October. But hey, it’s still better than 3 digit summer weather.Β

The Simpsons meme stating "October used to be cold"

Okay so why does the weather matter here Moonwlkr? Well it’s not necessarily the weather, but all the festive activities that come with the autumn season. We’ve put together a list of stoner friendly fall entertainment that pairs well with your flannel shirt, pumpkin spice latte, and favorite Moonwlkr goodies. Let’s dive in!

Pumpkin Carving / Painting

This one is a no brainer – am I right? Pumpkins are the mascot of the season! They’re affordable, eco friendly, and there are limitless ways to decorate and display them during the spooky season. Find a local pumpkin patch, grab some friends, and pop a gummy before you arrive. Many pumpkin patches not only offer pumpkins, but an entire experience that includes hay rides, corn mazes, and some – petting zoos! Watching little goats hop around and scream like unhinged humans is the BEST show – especially if you’re blazed.

So you’ve got pumpkins – now you can lay down an old sheet or table cloth and put on your favorite fall movies, shows, or even a fire playlist, spark your pre-roll and get to decorating.

Speaking of in season series and cinema – our team here at Moonwlkr dropped some suggestions that include: Practical Magic, Gilmore Girls, the original Sabrina the Teenage Witch, James and the Giant Peach, and Edward Scissorhands.

As for decorating your pumpkin, a less messy option is paint! We recommend using acrylic paint as it sticks well, dries quickly, and lasts! You can even wipe off any errors you may make in the process and try again! Small bottles of acrylic paint can be found at most craft stores or even grocery stores for under a dollar a bottle!

Of course, if you want to keep it traditional, carving is the way to go! This one can get messy but keep a few trash bags around and the clean up is relatively painless. You can get carving stencils almost anywhere this time of year OR if you own a printer, search up coloring book sheets or stencils you can find online and the options are endless!

An extra tip if you want to get even more creative: grab some googly eyes or other items and you can use a hot glue gun to add even more spooky spark to your pumpkins! Getting into your creative space is especially easy when you have a Moonwlkr gummy to help stimulate your prefrontal cortex (that’s the creative part of your brain).

Backyard Bonfire

If you or your friends have access to a backyard and fire pit – this is the BEST smoke session settings. The air is crisp and chilly and you can bust out your hoodies, blankets, and even a squishmallow to get cozy.

Grab supplies for s’mores or hot dogs and roast yourself the perfect snack to curb your munchies. Here at Moonwlkr we’re all about elevation πŸ˜‰ Try this s’more recipe for a top notch alternative to traditional s’mores!

Ingredients for a banana split smore

Elevated Banana Split S’more Recipe

Supplies:

  • Roasting stick or long metal skewer
  • Marshmallows
  • Bananas
  • Caramel
  • Chocolate
  • Graham Crackers
  • Optional: replace separate caramel & chocolate with a pre-caramel filled chocolate treat

Steps:

  • Roast your marshmallow as normal over the open fire until you have reached your desired level of doneness
  • Peel and slice your banana into thin pieces
  • Build your smore: start with a graham cracker on the bottom

Layer 2-3 (or more) banana slices on top of the cracker

Add a piece of chocolate and drizzle caramel directly on top of it OR add a caramel filled chocolate instead

Place your roasted marshmallow on top of the chocolate and use another piece of graham cracker to sandwich the marshmallow and slide it off of your roasting stick

There you have it – the TASTIEST banana split gourmet s’more!

If you really want to get the most out of your backyard bonfire experience, go around your circle and have each friend share some memories or play a game. We know we know this is a lot of planning for a group of people that just wanna chill outside with some Delta 9 THC – so we have some ideas for you!

Bonfire Conversation Starters

  • Favorite childhood memory – each person can share a memory that they cherish from their childhood, whether it was jumping in leaf piles as your dad raked them up, ding dong ditching your neighbor, or seeing the ocean for the first time this is a nice way to learn new and meaningful things about your friends.
  • Scariest experience – You’re outside in the dark around a bonfire, why not get your adrenaline pumping and share some scary stories – whether true or false πŸ˜‰
  • Your most elevated experience – Have you ever been TOO high? What happened, where were you, how did you come down, what comforted you? These typically are experiences that at the moment were not enjoyable but you can look back at and laugh about, now that you have navigated your way through tolerance levels and experiences with THC.
  • Your pet’s name and all the things you call them outside of their name – this one is HILARIOUS – why do you call your dog Pickle when his name is Rover? Where did the name Fraboochen come from? Is that a real word? List all of the alias’ you’ve given your pets and you’re sure to get a giggle out of the silly things we come up with when talking to our pets like babies.
  • Play a game of never have I ever – everyone holds up 5 fingers, take turns and state something you have NEVER done before. Those who HAVE done said things, put a finger down. Last person with fingers remaining wins – or you know, exposes that they may not be as versed in certain aspects of life as others. Either way, you learn a lot about your friends.
  • The swear jar – okay this one does not have to have a jar nor curse words, BUT same concept. If there is a word your friend group uses often like DUDE, play a game where every time someone says the word dude they have to hit the joint, make you a s’more, or do a silly dance move – whatever you desire!

Supplies for a DIY Fall leaf garland

DIY Leaf Garland

Decorating for each and every holiday may be appealing to some but to others it may seem expensive or really not very enjoyable. DIY crafts that are sustainable, affordable, and most importantly – a good activity to do with friends or family esp while stoney bologna are a great alternative way to get into the holiday spirit.

Picture this: you and some friends pop a Moonwlkr gummy and take a walk (within safe distance and safe area) down a trail, country road, through a park, or even in your backyard where all the leaves have turned to vibrant orange, red, and yellow hues. It’s gorgeous, you get some sunshine on your face, and a breath of fresh air.

While enjoying the great outdoors in the middle of fall, you can gather fallen leaves, you know, kind of like searching for shells along the beach. Bring an old magazine or book with you and throw each leaf you find in between some pages to preserve them until you get home.

Once you have gathered enough to create a garland the length of your choice, head home to begin creating an all natural, hand selected leaf garland. Be sure you have some string, ribbon, or whatever material you’d like to use as the base of your garland to attach your leaves to. There are a few different ways you can preserve your leaves.

Preserving Leaves for your Fall Garland

Option #1: Melt down some beeswax in a candle warmer, pot, or bowl of your choice. Dip each leaf into the beeswax, then dip it directly into a bowl of ice water to harden the wax.

Option #2: Place your leaves between two pieces of wax paper and iron on both sides. The wax on the paper will melt and leave a thin layer of wax on either side of your leaves for preservation.

Option #3: If you really don’t mind your leaves being temporarily preserved to just discard after the season, pressing them in a book will actually suffice!Β

Once your leaves are pressed or preserved, you can use little clothespins, paperclips, tape, a dollop of glue, or extra string to tie around the stems – and attach the leaves along your string or ribbon.Β

Now you have, not only a gorgeous autumnal decoration, but also an activity that gets you outdoors AND gets your creative juices flowing.

Ghosty Photo Opp

If you are on social media, you most likely have seen this trend over the past few years. But, IT’S SO GOOD, we couldn’t NOT include it.

Head over to goodwill or a secondhand craft store and find some old white sheets, tablecloths, or fabric – also pillowcases (we’ll explain in a bit).

Set up your camera or your phone on a self timerΒ  and figure out where to stand in front of it. Pro tip, set something on the ground to mark the area within the camera view.

If you’d like to repurpose the sheets or you are using one you already have around the house and do not want to destroy it – you can use a pair of sunglasses. Drape the entire sheet or fabric over your head so it covers your body as a ghost costume. Then, put the sunglasses on your face OVER the sheet.

Another option for those who do not desire to keep the sheet intact, you can opt to drape it over your head and use a marker to identify where your eyes and mouth are. You can then cut holes for your eyes and/or mouth and throw the sheet back on. (This option allows you to see where your camera is and you won’t have to mark your spot to stand in frame).

Want to get even sillier? Glue some googly eyes on the sheet instead of using sunglasses or cutting eye sockets. Get some pink fabric and cut heart shaped pieces out and glue these on in place of your eyes. AND you can find some halloween themed headbands, for example devil horns, cat ears, or a witches hat and throw these on top of your ghost ensemble.

You’ll have a BLAST with your friends bumping into each other, reviewing the photos, AND you could send virtual halloween cards with your ghosty photos to your friends and family.

Now for the pillowcases, you probably guessed it – but these are mini sized, perfect for your fur babies. You can follow the same steps for eye placement and cut some ear holes and include your beloved pets in your ghostie photo shoot!

Haunted House

Haunted houses come in a range of scare levels. There are some that are kid friendly and others that adults even stray from. We don’t want to set you up for a bad high – BUT, if getting your adrenaline pumping is something you purely enjoy – this one is for you!

Find a local haunted house or one nearby and plan a trip with some fellow fright chasers. Many haunted houses contribute to charities that help children in need of halloween costumes and some even offer other side quests such as mini horror themed escape rooms and haunted experiences.

Pro tip: Our microdose gummies are the perfect level of high for operation haunted house. You’ll feel a nice buzz that is not overwhelming and an extra dose of energy and focus from the Lion’s Mane mushrooms.

Costume Party

Halloween parties are obviously a hot commodity in October. However, you do not have to plan and prepare an in-depth extravagant costume party. We’re talking about a stoner friendly safe space costume party. What does that even mean Moonwlkr?Β

Well, have your friends collect things in their home that are already lying around. This could be a funky pair of socks, an old t-shirt, empty toilet paper rolls, popsicle sticks, paint, markers, tape, literally anything. Everyone comes together and throws their supplies into a community pile. Then, based on the supplies you see, brainstorm some ideas of costumes you could create from these items.

Who knows, you may come up with some genius ideas! This type of costume party, we guarantee will become unhinged and make everyone giggle. AND the extra boost of some THC in your system will surely ignite your imagination.

Enjoy your Stoner Friendly Fall Festivities!

Whether you’re crafting a pumpkin masterpiece, roasting elevated s’mores, or channeling your inner ghost for a photo shoot, fall has something stoner-friendly for everyone. So grab your fuzzy slippers, roll up a little something, and embrace the joy of the season.

Remember, the only thing scarier than a haunted house is the thought of trying to remember all those DIY craft steps while you’re highβ€”good luck with that! Happy fall, and may your pumpkins be perfectly carved and your bonfires ever cozy!
